Being a Psychic Reader
Being a psychic reader is really quite an amazing experience. You've got all kinds of people and things that you get to look at and discover.
What I find really interesting is seeing how a picture can so completely shape a person's life. For example, one of the first women I ever read put everyone else before herself and was miserable because of it – all because she wanted other people to like her. Her whole life had been shaped by that one picture and desire. This is not an uncommon image that people have. It is interesting to see how powerful our pictures we have about ourselves are – and for myself I get the opportunity to destroy all the pictures I see!
Your pictures really do shape your reality and perception and in turn your perceptions end up re-enforcing those pictures and conceptions. Beliefs about perception will entirely shape your perception. So it's better to have a mind like a 5th grader, where you play and experiment with meditation tools and your pictures and perceptions, and stay open, while at the same time owning your power from what you have learned. Most people cannot integrate both attitudes when it comes to learning. But everyone can learn to see pictures and use their innate Clairvoyance.
If you're not really clear with your intent as a clairvoyant you will attract all kinds of clients that are there to show you your own issues. You've got all the people that want you to play the "prove it" game, i.e., prove that you're really psychic. None of these people are actually interested in your abilities or being validated themselves – they are in fact only out to invalidate you. When I come across these people wanting private readings I end the phone call quickly. A lot of this game has to do with family abuse and control games, though that's really another article altogether.
Then you've got the "look at only what I want you to see" people. These people are really funny, but you have to be careful because sometimes they will test you or play games or even energetically "whack" (hit) you.
Then there's the people that can't formulate a question. You ask what they want a reading on and they say "my life in general" or "my career." Well that's like asking for directions to "a place in California;" we psychics need something specific to look at. Usually it just means they want us to ask the questions for them and look at whatever pops up, which is fine. Then there are all the people that come in with their family. Sometimes the family doesn't want you to talk about certain things and will throw energy in your space to try and stop you.
As a psychic you get to see karma in relationships between people; you get to see how people's families try to limit and control your clients; you get to see how ancestral beings try to influence, control, or destroy a person's life. In fact one of the most misguided myths in spiritual communities is that your ancestors should be worshipped, honored, respected, etc – or that they are interested in helping you. The latter may or may not be the case. Many times I have seen where it is in fact not the case at all. If your dead old uncle Bill was a controlling jerk in this world, then chances are he is still a controlling jerk up in the astral or spirit worlds.
You get to see past life information and why a person is having so much trouble in their current life and what emotion, energy, habit, or agreement they need to release. You get to see how people bring in positive information and energy from their past lives to help them with their current one.
You get to see amazing situations and scenarios that people have created for themselves in detail. Most importantly, as a psychic reader, you get to learn more and more about yourself and your own pictures with every reading. And coolest of all, you get to see people's spiritual abilities and the miracles they have created for themselves in their lives.
